6 Speed Conversion for Astra And Zafira GSi

M-Tech conversion kit for fitting the F28 6-speed gearbox. (from the Calibra Turbo)

Available for the following Vauxhall/Opel models:
- Astra MK4 GSi with X20XER engine. (160 bhp ecotec)
- Astra MK4 GSi with Z20LET engine. (200 bhp Turbo engine)
- Astra Coupe with Z20LET engine. (190 bhp Turbo engine)
- Astra Convertible with Z20LET engine. (190 bhp Turbo engine)
- Zafira GSi with Z20LET engine. (200 bhp Turbo engine)

Unfortunately, Vauxhall/Opel didn’t fit the Astra and Zafira GSi models with a 6-speed gearbox. This is because they where trying to save on expensive development costs. (But the legendary Calibra Turbo did have such a brilliant 6-speed gearbox)

M-Tech have developed a DIY conversion kit for fitting a Calibra Turbo F28 6-speed gearbox due to the huge demand for 6-speed conversions for these high performance Vauxhalls and Opel's. The standard F23 5-speed can now be replaced for a 6-speed F28 gearbox, by using a new M-Tech conversion kit.

This 6-speed has much better gear ratios which improve acceleration and makes a higher top speed possible. The F28 gearbox is also much stronger than a standard F23 5-speed box and it can take more torque.

The M-Tech conversion kit* includes the following parts:

- Hydraulic clutch bearing
- Hydraulic clutch bearing pipe plus mounting sleeve.
- Transmission support left / front (8mm in steel)
- Transmission support middle / back side (aluminium)
- Transmission support middle / front side with rubber absorber block.
- 6-speed emblem for the gear shift lever.
- FWD conversion kit. (F28 is normally a 4WD unit)
- Nylon bushes for the gear change linkage.
- Illustrated Fitting guide.
- All fasteners required.
